📝 Workshop #1 & #2

📅 Fall 2024

Our first wellness workshop, led in collaboration with the Teen Wellness Alliance, guided students through the fundamentals of mindfulness and stress management. Participants explored what mindfulness means to them, practiced living in the present moment, and reflected on how awareness and acceptance can reduce emotional overload.

Through guided meditation, small-group discussions, and interactive activities, students learned to distinguish between acute and chronic stress and identified personal coping strategies such as temperature regulation (T.I.P.), paced breathing, intense exercise, and building mastery over hobbies.

The session concluded with a Wellness Compass reflection activity and distribution of Wellness Bookmarks, encouraging continued engagement through the downloadable Wellness Handbook.
