2023 Fernando Awards Foundation — Youth Volunteer Program Award & Fernando Awards Foundation Gala Dinner
Once Upon A Teen was also recognized by the Fernando Awards Foundation, receiving a $1,500 grant through its Youth Volunteer Program. This award honors our dedication to teen wellness, community leadership, and volunteerism across the San Fernando Valley and beyond.
2025 Bezos Scholars Foundation — Community Change Project Award for Teen Wellness & Mental Health
One year later, Once Upon A Teen was again awarded a $1,000 grant from the Bezos Scholars Foundation, this time recognizing our Teen Wellness Initiatives—programs that cultivate emotional resilience, mindfulness, and community engagement.
2025 LA Times Festival of Books
Once Upon A Teen joined forces with the Teen Wellness Alliance and the Olivia E. Mitchell LA City Youth Council to host an in-person community wellness booth at the LA Times Festival of Books — the largest book festival in the United States, attracting over 150,000 attendees each year.
